With the Yen so weak, the RMB is very useful, and this is the real joy of a weak Yen. 【Walking 上海 107】 上海メトロ線宝山路駅周辺を散策。ここには、オーディオ関連専門店だけでなく、雑貨やバッタもんまでほぼ何でも揃う市場・上海音像城があったが、既に取り壊され新たなビル建設が始まっていた。 過去動画と併せてご覧いただくと賑やかな頃の雰囲気が伝わるのではないでしょうか。ああ、残念だ。 I took a stroll around Baoshan Rd Station on the Shanghai Metro. This area used to be home to Shanghai Audio-Visual Center, a market where we could find almost anything, from audio equipment specialists to general goods and counterfeit items. However, it has already been demolished, and construction of a new building has begun. 【大都会 上海を走る】 2026 東安路にどえらい再開発現場を見ただ！ (2026年9月)
【Drive 上海 267】 Dashcam series 267 久しぶりに徐家滙あたりを走行したところ、とんでもない規模の再開発建設現場に遭遇。それは市内南西部を走る東安路。1950年から60年代に建てられた古い住宅、商業エリアを区画丸ごと新しい住宅地に改造。その一区画の規模たるや上海史上最大とも。丁度、3年前に走行した際の動画が残っていたので、比較するとあらま～なんてことでしょう状態。 I recently drove through the Xujiahui area for the first time in a while and came across a massive redevelopment construction site. It was on Dong'an Rd in the southwestern part of Shanghai city. An old residential and commercial area built in the 1950s and 60s is being completely transformed into a new residential area. The scale of one of these blocks is said to be the largest in Shanghai's history. 【上海旧市街地 さらば老城廂 20】2026 小東門街道 大夫坊周辺 書隠楼 これが見納め (2026年8月)
【Walking 上海 105】上海散策シリーズ さらば老城廂 20 大規模再開発が進む老城廂・旧上海市街地。大夫坊、梅家街、巡道街等を散策。今回初めて清代に建造された「明清江南三大私設蔵書館」の一つである書隠楼の前に立つことが出来ました。この場所こそ上海が誇る明清時代の建築物であり、外灘でも石庫門住宅でもない民族の叡智の結集です。ここは保存されるとは思いますが、現在の姿を外からとは言え、目に焼き付けられたのはうれしい限りです。ほとんどの住人の立ち退きを終え、静かに取り壊されるのを待っている状態です。 The old city of Shanghai is undergoing large-scale redevelopment. I strolled through Dafu Fang, Meijia Street, and Xundao Street. For the first time, I stood in front of Shuyin Tower, one of the "Three Great Private Libraries of Jiangnan during the Ming and Qing Dynasties," which was built during the Qing Dynasty. This place is Shanghai's pride and joy, a culmination of national wisdom, unlike the Bund or the Shikumen houses. I believe it will be preserved, but I was glad to have seen its current form, even if only from the outside. 【Walking 上海 104】上海散策シリーズ さらば老城廂 19 大規模再開発が進む老城廂・旧上海市街地。上海有数の観光スポットである豫園をコアにした大豫園文化区計画二期の建設工事が加速中。一期は開発を終えた豫園商場含めた豫園中心エリアとBFC上海外灘金融中心。周辺の工事が始まったので豫園周りは暫くの間賑やかになりそうではある。兎に角、移り変わりが速い、速過ぎてついていけないのである。 Large-scale redevelopment is underway in the old city center of Shanghai. Construction is accelerating on the 2nd phase of the Grand Yuyuan Cultural District PJ, which centers around Yu Garden, one of Shanghai's leading tourist attractions. The 1st phase included the Yu Garden central area, including the completed Yuyuan Tourist Mart, and the BFC Shanghai Bund Financial Centre. With construction now underway in the surrounding area, it seems that the area around Yu Garden will be bustling for some time. 【Memory 上海 #31】 大規模再開発が進む老城廂・旧上海市街地。2006年1月に撮影した写真をご紹介。下町風情の江陰街、上海有数の石庫門建築である龍門邨、孔子を祀る文廟をメインにした散策です。後半、百度地図全景より2013年と2020年頃の同地点の写真をお借りし、今昔物語としてご紹介します。 The old city of Shanghai, a district undergoing large-scale redevelopment. Here are some photos taken in January 2006. The focus of this walk is on the old town-like Jiangyin Street, Longmen Village (one of Shanghai's leading Shikumen architectural sites), and the Wenmiao Temple (dedicated to Confucius). 【上海旧市街地 さらば老城廂 18】 2026 豫園街道 露香園路 松雪街 加速する再開発 (2026年7月)
【Walking 上海 103】上海散策シリーズ さらば老城廂 18 大規模再開発が進む老城廂・旧上海市街地。今回は明代に上海三大庭園の一つと謳われた露香園があった露香園歴史文化区を散策。露香園は阿片戦争時に戦火で消滅。このエリアは2009年頃より大規模再開発が始まり、露香園の名を冠した高級住宅街・露香園Aromaなんちゃら建設中。また、エリア西南部、復興東路よりには「上海壹号院」という名のこれまた高層住宅群建設中。残っている住宅群も間もなく取り壊されるので、今回が最後の見納めでしょう。 The old city of Shanghai, known as "Laochengxiang," is undergoing large-scale redevelopment. This time, I strolled through the Luxiangyuan Historical and Cultural District, where Luxiang Garden, renowned as one of Shanghai's three great gardens during the Ming Dynasty, once stood. Luxiang Garden was destroyed by fire during the Opium War. Large-scale redevelopment of this area began around 2009, and a luxury residential area bearing the name of Luxiangyuan Aroma something-or-other, is currently under construction. Also, in the southwest of the area, near Fuxing East Rd, another high-rise residential complex called "Shanghai One Central Park" is under construction. 【記憶の中の上海 老西門街道 2】 2003 写真で見る 方斜路 復興東路 中華路 20年の変遷
【Memory 上海 30】 上海旧市街地・老城廂に隣接する老西門街道の東南に位置するエリアの変遷を写真でご紹介。2003年に訪れた方斜路 (西蔵南路~中華路間) は再開発地区に該当し、まさに立退き真っ最中。2026年現在の姿だけを見れば、高級そうな超高層マンション群という感想ですが、20数年前の風景を重ねるとその変貌ぶりに驚かされます。市内あちこちで再開発が行われおり、その一例に過ぎないのですが記録としてご紹介します。 This photo showcases the transformation of an area located southeast of Laoximen subdistrict, adjacent to the old city of Shanghai ・Laochengxiang. Fangxie Rd, which I visited in 2003, was part of a redevelopment zone, with residents being evicted in full swing. Looking at its current appearance in 2026, it appears as a cluster of luxurious high-rise apartments, but comparing it to the landscape from over 20 years ago reveals a truly astonishing transformation.
