So, this is the border between China and Myanmar
After Mangshi, I headed to Ruili, the very border between China and Myanmar. I interviewd a jade shop, explored the checkpoint, and met an interesting guy at Yizhai Liangguo (One village, Two countries) 一寨两国 and drank together. However, not everything went smooth. I had a slightly scaring moment in a taxi, who seemed to be xenophobiac (especially to Japanese). Enjoy my trip!

This is the place you want to visit in China
I went to Dali, Yunnan, China, and had wonderful encounters such as with an old man who was selling medical herbs at a local market, and a group of people who were doing a ritual at a local temple. Also, I captured lots of beautiful scenes such as bustling Dali old town, sunrise at Erhai lake, goat herders, etc. Of course, I enjoyed a variety of local food ranging from lake fish called Gongyu 弓鱼 to local rice noodles called Erisi 饵丝. This is Kunming city, the capitaln of Yunnan province in China. Kunming is called 'Spring City', where all seasons are spring. I viisted this place at the end of January, where other parts of China is in the middle of winter. But here, I was surprised how warm it was when I got off the train from my former destination Chongqing. It was 18 degrees Celsius. It could be summer weather in other parts of the world.
