Who is Chermac? A native of Japan, Chermac has been in the US for 18 years now, and currently living and working in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from a college in Japan, he worked as an architect for several years. In order to leave from the boring daily life and find a meaningful life, he decided to come to the US. Not a long after, he started feeling comfortable being his true self and came out as a gay man. In 2006 he received the Master's degree in Interior Design, and worked for several architectural firms in New York, Seattle and Portland. When he has free time, he enjoys outdoors, arts, and traveling around the world. It's so sad! The beautiful downtown Portland has been changed to a slum! I visited downtown Portland to figure out damages and losses by the recent protests and riots. It has gotten pretty severe damages. Windows and doors of stores were broken and a lot of graffiti on the wall although some of them were drawn by pretty good artists. I felt unsafe walking down the street. 【日本語字幕】Mt. Hood - Paradise Park Trail - Great Oregon Nature #5 高山植物豊かな草原、険しい渓谷、最後は360°の大パノラマとおにぎり！
I hiked up to the Paradise Park trail at Mt. Hood. It was a sunny July day with about 72 degrees temperature. This hike had many spectacular view points, such as the Zigzag river and water fall, Alpine plants and flowers everywhere, and of course the great view of the Mt. Hood. As the trail got close to the Paradise Peak, it got really steep. In addition to the high elevation, it was hard to breath! However, the view from the Paradise Peak was amazing! Nothing was better than eating Onigiri (Japanese riceball) at the top! On the way back was also tough because it slightly going up 2/3 of the time! I went to hike the popular Silver Falls State Park in Silverton Oregon! I found 7 out of 10 amazingly beautiful water falls and surrounding nature. One unique thing about some of the water falls is that you can walk behind the water falls. The dynamic sound are water splash made me feel so refreshing!
