2022年5月18日。コロナの水際対策等で2年半ぶりの日本帰国。これまでは、日本への帰国は、ゴールドコースト空港から成田まで直行便が飛んでいるジェットスターを利用していましたが、まだこの時は、ジェットスターは運休中。 コロナが流行し、ジェットスターだけでなく、カンタスも日本への運行を長らく休止している中でも、全日空はシドニー・羽田間の運行を続けてくれ、さらには、従来の運賃では考えられないような料金でのチケットが販売されていたので、今回は全日空を利用し、ゴールドコーストからシドニー空港経由で羽田へ。 乗り継ぎ時間が2時間10分ということで、やや焦り気味のMotti。ターミナル移動の無料シャトルバスの乗り場がなかなか見つからない！という動画です。（笑） 何かの参考になれば・・・・？ いつもご視聴ありがとうございます。 撮影日2022.5.18 編集日2022.11.03
あのワンオクのライブを観に行ってきた！Wherever You Areを口ずさむオージー！
2026年3月15日（日）半年以上前からチケットを購入し楽しみにしていたONE OK ROCKのライブをブリスベンまで観に行ってきました。 チケット購入時DOOR OPENは19:00だったのが、途中20:00に変更。余裕をもって18:00会場であるThe Fortitude Music Hallをチェック！ するとすでに会場入り口から長蛇の列。 入り口から10メートルほどのところに、友人発見。 彼女は13:00 ぐらいから並んでいるとのこと。 今回のライブはStandingでスペシャルチケット（会場優先入場、サイン入りポスターなどの特典つき）以外は、料金一律。 早く並んでステージに近い場所を確保するためらしい・・・。 そういうものなのか・・・と驚きつつも、私と夫は夕飯が優先。会場から徒歩5分ぐらいのベトナミーズレストラン（というか食堂）で夕飯を食べ、 18:30ぐらいに列に並ぼうとするが、最後尾に行き着くまでに、何人もの知人に会い、その度に「ひさしぶりー！」から始まり、キャッチアップ。結局、最後尾にたどりついたところ、列はブロックを１周まわり、ほぼ会場の入り口（苦笑） 列に並び1時間。20:00にDOOR OPEN。 結局私たちが会場に入るのに所要時間20分。 まぁ、それはそれは長い列でした。 20:00にDOOR OPENなら、ワンオクのライブがスタートするのは、21:00ぐらいかな？と見込んでいたのは、私たちだけではなかった。 ある知人夫妻はゴールドコーストから電車でブリスベンへ。 （なんせ、片道一人５０セントですしねー） しかし、な、なんと、シドニー出身のバンド（Stand Atlantic)が前座としてパフォーマンスを開始したのが21:00。結局ワンオクのステージは22:00スタート。気の毒にその友人夫妻は、終電に乗るために、ワンオクのステージは30分しか観られなかったらしい。 もともとすごくファンという訳ではないけれど、Wherever You Areの名曲は知っていたので、BRISBANEでLIVEがあると知って、即チケットゲット。 予習のためにアルバム”DETOX”の収録曲を聴き、参戦！ これまでのライブは大きな会場で聴くことが多かったので、今回のようなライブホールは初めて。 観客の大半は日本人でしたが、その中にもオーストラリア人らしき人も。 最初はてっきりSTAND ATLANTICのファンなのかと思いきや、ライブ中の観客を見ていると、オージーがノリノリで歌を口ずさんでいました。 ワンオクの海外人気は本当でした！！ On Sunday, March 15, 2026, I finally went to see ONE OK ROCK live in Brisbane — a concert I had been looking forward to for over six months after buying the tickets. When I purchased the tickets, the doors were scheduled to open at 7:00 PM, but this was later changed to 8:00 PM. We decided to arrive early and checked out The Fortitude Music Hall around 6:00 PM. Even at that time, there was already a long line stretching from the entrance. About 10 meters from the door, I spotted a friend, who had been waiting since around 1:00 PM! This concert was standing-only, with a uniform ticket price except for the special tickets, which included priority entry and signed posters. It seemed that the early arrivals were all trying to secure spots close to the stage. Surprised by this, my husband and I decided to prioritize dinner first. We walked about five minutes from the venue to a Vietnamese restaurant (more like a casual eatery) and ate before heading to the end of the line around 6:30 PM. On the way, we ran into several acquaintances, each meeting starting with a cheerful “Long time no see!” and some catching up. By the time we reached the end of the line, it had wrapped around a whole block, almost reaching the venue entrance again! We waited in line for an hour, and doors opened at 8:00 PM. It took us about 20 minutes to actually get inside — quite a long line indeed. Many of us expected that with a door opening at 8:00 PM, the ONE OK ROCK show would start around 9:00 PM. We weren’t the only ones — a couple we knew had traveled by train from the Gold Coast to Brisbane (and it only cost 50 cents each way!). However, to our surprise, the Sydney band Stand Atlantic began their opening performance right at 9:00 PM, which meant that ONE OK ROCK didn’t take the stage until 10:00 PM. Unfortunately, that friend couple could only catch about 30 minutes of the main show before needing to catch the last train home. I’m not an extremely hardcore fan, but I knew the iconic song “Wherever You Are”, so when I heard there would be a live show in Brisbane, I grabbed tickets immediately. I even listened to the full album “DETOX” to prepare for the concert! Most of the live shows I had attended before were in large venues, so this smaller live hall experience was a first for me. Most of the audience was Japanese, but there were also some Australians. At first, I thought they were fans of Stand Atlantic, but watching the crowd during ONE OK ROCK’s performance, I realized the Aussies were fully singing along and enjoying every moment. ONE OK ROCK’s overseas popularity is real — I experienced it firsthand!

My friend finally started surfing, and it's a beautiful spring here on the Gold Coast! 超名門サーフスポット「デュランバー（通称D-Bah）」でのレッスンの様子を撮影してきました！お友達と一緒に海に入るのが本当に楽しみです！ I captured how their surf lesson went at the legendary surf spot, Duranbah (aka D-Bah)! I’m so excited to get in the water together with my friend! ここD-Bahが聖地と呼ばれるワケ。それは年間300日以上の波の発生率を誇り、周りのスポットに波がなくてもほぼ毎日サーフィンが可能な「波の磁石」だからです！南側のツイードリバーの防波堤と砂州の絶妙なバランスで、綺麗に左右に割れるパワフルな波（抜群のクオリティなAフレーム）が立ちます。 Why D-Bah is called the Holy Grail of surfing? It delivers rideable waves over 300 days a year—even when surrounding spots have no waves, you can surf here almost every single day. Thanks to the perfect balance of the Tweed River breakwall and the sandbanks, it creates top-quality, powerful waves that break beautifully both left and right. さらにここは、ミック・ファニングや五十嵐カノア、ケリー・スレーターといった有名選手がすぐ隣にいたりするプロの練習場！そして北隣にはスナッパーロックス、レインボーベイ、グリーンマウントといったサーフィン天国がズラリと並んでいます。最近、南側のビーチへと続く小道が綺麗になっていたのも嬉しいポイントです。 It’s also a pro training ground where legendary players like Mick Fanning, Kanoa Igarashi, and Kelly Slater gather, so you might even find yourself surfing right next to them! Plus, right to the north, you have Snapper Rocks, Rainbow Bay, and Greenmount—literally the heart of surfing paradise. I also noticed that the path leading down to the southern beach got a beautiful makeover recently! そんな凄いD-Bahですが、ドルフィンスルーができない、パドルが下手くそな私でも沖に出られる「水中エスカレーター」があるのです（笑）！ツイードリバーの堤防脇に強いカレントがあるので、その流れに乗ればちょっとのパドルでス〜いス～いと沖に出られます。 And here’s the best part about D-Bah... Even though I can’t duck dive and my paddling is terrible, there is actually an "underwater escalator" here! There is a strong rip current running right along the Tweed River breakwall, so if you hop on this flow, you can cruise right back with just a tiny bit of paddling! でももちろん油断は大敵！自然を甘くみてはいけません。D-Bahではないですが、過去に私はカレントに流され、ライフセーバーのお世話になったことがあります💦 されど、こんな大自然と共に暮らせるゴールドコーストはやっぱり最高です！ But of course, never let your guard down! Never underestimate the power of nature. Not at D-Bah, but I’ve actually been caught in a rip before and had to be rescued by a lifesaver💦 Yet, living in harmony with nature here in the Gold Coast is still the absolute best! 幸い、この日の波のサイズは初心者向けの小さめな1-2FT！g!万年ビギナーの私もこの日はD-Bahで入水。（サイズが大きすぎる時は速攻でレインボーベイに逃げていますが・・・笑） Luckily, the wave size on this day was a friendly 1-2ft, perfect for learninEven as a permanent beginner, I got in the water at D-Bah on this day! 旅Motti 「Made in Japan」Akita 新政酒造 美酒「新政」を探して Can we find Aramaa Premium Sake？
日本製の旅Vol.14 今回の訪問地は、豊かなお米と良質な水に恵まれた「美酒王国」、秋田県です。春馬さんが『日本製』で訪れた「新政（あらまさ）酒造」さん。 This time Motti visited Akita Prefecture, known as the "Kingdom of Fine Sake" blessed with rich rice and high-quality water. Haruma Miura visited "Aramasa Shuzo" for his book "Made in Japan." 私が現地を訪ねたのは、よりによって敬老の日（祝日）の朝。「新政（あらまさ）酒造」さんは酒蔵見学などは行っておらず、店舗も構えていないため、事務所やクラや、倉庫を外から眺めることにしました。伝統を守りながらも革新的な味わいを追求し、今や日本一入手困難とも言われるプレミアムな美酒「新政」。 Of all times, I happened to visit there on the morning of Respect for the Aged Day, which is a national holiday. Since "Aramasa Shuzo" does not offer brewery tours and does not have a retail store, I decided to take a look at their office, storehouses, and warehouses from the outside. Aramasa is a premium brand that protects tradition while pursuing innovation, and it is now considered one of the hardest sakes to obtain in Japan. 急に雨が降り出し、雨宿りをしていると中から職人さんらしき方が。。 Suddenly it started to rain, and while I was taking shelter from the rain, someone who looked like a craftsman came out from inside...親切に 「新政」が手に入るであろう酒屋さんを３件教えていただきました。 １件目は酒屋まるひこ ２件目はSUGAKYU酒店 ３件目は吉田商店 They were kind enough to tell me three liquor stores where I might be able to get "Aramasa." " 1.Sakaya Maruhiko" 2.SUGAKYU Sake Store 3.Yoshida Shoten 春馬さんも飲んだ「新政」を是非飲んでみたい！しかし祭日の朝・・・。さらに1年のうちでも夏は酒造りはしないためか、もともと入手困難な「新政」 I really wanted to try "Aramasa," which Haruma also drank! However, it was a holiday morning... Furthermore, perhaps because they don't brew sake in the summer, "Aramasa" is inherently difficult to obtain .秋田市内をトラックで走り、３件の酒屋さんのうち開いていたのは、吉田商店のみ。結局「新政」は幻とおわってしまいましたが、秋田市内の街並みやラッキーにもハスの花が見事な千秋公園前など、ドライブしていても楽しい時間になりました。 Driving through Akita City in my truck, the only one of the three liquor stores that was open was Yoshida Shoten. 【ゴールドコースト】我が家でのあだ名は「ヘルメットバード」！？Plover（プローバー）のほっこり家族に出会った日
2026年7月27日 July 27, 2026 オーストラリアのゴールドコーストで、Plover（プローバー / ズグロトサカゲリ）の微笑ましい家族に出会いました。 I came across a lovely family of Plovers (Masked Lapwings) here in the Gold Coast, Australia. 実は私、この鳥の本当の名前を知るまで、頭の模様が個性的すぎていつも「ヘルメットバード」や「カツラバード」と呼んでいました（笑）。 To be honest, until I found out their real name, I always called them "Helmet Birds" or "Wig Birds" because of their unique black head pattern! (lol) 現地では「子育て期は凶暴で怖い鳥」と言われることも多いプローバーですが、この日見かけたファミリーはとっても平和でほっこりした雰囲気。 Although Plovers are notorious for being aggressive and scary during nesting season, the family I saw today was incredibly peaceful and heartwarming. お父さんとお母さん（つがい）の2羽が、時折「キッキッ」と優しく周囲を警戒しながら見守る中、3〜4羽の子供たちが広い芝生の上をのびのびと楽しそうにお散歩していました。 While the mum and dad kept a gentle lookout with occasional "ki-ki" calls, their 3 or 4 chicks were happily strolling around the spacious grass field. 親鳥たちの深い愛情と、小さな子供たちの愛らしいトコトコ歩きにぜひ癒やされてください。I hope you enjoy and feel comforted by the parents' deep love and the adorable toddling of the little chicks. 📌 ご視聴ありがとうございます！個人チャンネル「Motti（モッティ）」では、ゴールドコーストでのなんてことない日常や、ほっこりする風景をお届けしています。気に入っていただけたら、ぜひチャンネル登録をしてまた遊びに来てくださいね。 Thank you for watching! Currumbin Alleyまで行ったのにWET忘れた（汗） サーフカルチャー！ゴールドコースト
2026年7月25日（土）朝9時 Currumbin Alley天気は最高！1-2FEETの波。 万年ビギナーMottiには最高のサーフィン日和 Main Beachのparkrunを終えて、数箇所波チェック。 どこも小さな波。 そしてCurrumbin Alleyまでやってきた！さて、着替えてサーフィン！と思いきや、WET忘れちゃったよぉーー。 風もなかったので、水着でも20−30分ならいけなくもない. しかし、普段は水着を家から着ていくのに、こんな日に限って、どうみても下着のブラとパンツ・・。 さすがにこれでは海入れない・・・。ということで今日は引き潮だったのでCurrumbin Rockの前に座ってサーフィン見学！ 後半にはちょっとだけ、カランビンで開催されていたジュニアサーフィンの試合は、地元を代表するサーフィンクラブ、アリー・ボードライダーズ（Alley Boardriders）が主催する「The Alley Junior Tag Team Surf Tag Championship」という大会の様子もあります。 ゴールドコーストのサーフカルチャーご覧ください。 最後までご視聴ありがとうございます。 Saturday, July 25, 2026, 9:00 AM, offers perfect conditions at Currumbin Alley with 1-2 feet waves, ideal for a beginner. 51年ぶりゴールドコースト直撃！？ サイクロンアルフレッド！2025年3月 （Home Insuranceの継続延長をやめた直後！）
2025年3月上旬 1974年以来51年ぶりにゴールドコーストにサイクロン上陸（Tropical Cyclone Alfred)が直撃。 数日前から注意報が！クイーンズランド州南東部で大雨、暴風、高波、大規模な停電が発生 実は我が家のHome Buildings Insurance （建物保険）この注意報がでる直前の2月が更新時期。 しかし、年々保険額があがり、ちょっと更新するのは厳しい・・・・ということで、Gmottiとも相談して、保険継続をしないことに決めたばかり・・・。 大規模で起こった停電も我が家でお発生せず。このまま何事もないことを願う中、風が強くなってきたと思ったら、裏庭で大きな音が！何事かと外にでてみたら！！！ In early March 2025, Tropical Cyclone Alfred made landfall on the Gold Coast, striking the region for the first time in 51 years since 1974. A cyclone warning had been issued several days prior, bringing heavy rain, destructive winds, damaging surf, and widespread power outages across South East Queensland. As it turned out, our Home Buildings Insurance policy was due for renewal in February, just before the warning was issued. However, the premiums had been rising year after year, making it quite a financial strain to renew. After discussing it with Gmotti, we had only recently decided not to renew the policy... Fortunately, the massive blackout affecting the area didn’t hit our house. While hoping that everything would just pass without incident, the wind suddenly started to pick up. That's when we heard a loud crash in the backyard! Startled, I rushed outside to see what on earth had happened...!!!

The sun is still up in this beautiful midsummer. 2025年3月ゴールドコーストを50年ぶりに襲ったサイクロン🌀「アルフレッド」から約１ヶ月後 About one month after Severe Cyclone Alfred, which struck the Gold Coast in March 2025 for the first time in 50 years. アガベと思われる植物が大きく育ちすぎ、ブーゲンビリアも伸びすぎて、ただでさえもシロアリにやられているフェンスがやばい状態 The agaves have grown way too big, and the bougainvillea is completely overgrown.
