旅Motti シドニー空港での乗り継ぎに戸惑う・・。
2022年5月18日。コロナの水際対策等で2年半ぶりの日本帰国。これまでは、日本への帰国は、ゴールドコースト空港から成田まで直行便が飛んでいるジェットスターを利用していましたが、まだこの時は、ジェットスターは運休中。 コロナが流行し、ジェットスターだけでなく、カンタスも日本への運行を長らく休止している中でも、全日空はシドニー・羽田間の運行を続けてくれ、さらには、従来の運賃では考えられないような料金でのチケットが販売されていたので、今回は全日空を利用し、ゴールドコーストからシドニー空港経由で羽田へ。 乗り継ぎ時間が2時間10分ということで、やや焦り気味のMotti。ターミナル移動の無料シャトルバスの乗り場がなかなか見つからない！という動画です。（笑） 何かの参考になれば・・・・？ いつもご視聴ありがとうございます。 撮影日2022.5.18 編集日2022.11.03
あのワンオクのライブを観に行ってきた！Wherever You Areを口ずさむオージー！
2026年3月15日（日）半年以上前からチケットを購入し楽しみにしていたONE OK ROCKのライブをブリスベンまで観に行ってきました。 チケット購入時DOOR OPENは19:00だったのが、途中20:00に変更。余裕をもって18:00会場であるThe Fortitude Music Hallをチェック！ するとすでに会場入り口から長蛇の列。 入り口から10メートルほどのところに、友人発見。 彼女は13:00 ぐらいから並んでいるとのこと。 今回のライブはStandingでスペシャルチケット（会場優先入場、サイン入りポスターなどの特典つき）以外は、料金一律。 早く並んでステージに近い場所を確保するためらしい・・・。 そういうものなのか・・・と驚きつつも、私と夫は夕飯が優先。会場から徒歩5分ぐらいのベトナミーズレストラン（というか食堂）で夕飯を食べ、 18:30ぐらいに列に並ぼうとするが、最後尾に行き着くまでに、何人もの知人に会い、その度に「ひさしぶりー！」から始まり、キャッチアップ。結局、最後尾にたどりついたところ、列はブロックを１周まわり、ほぼ会場の入り口（苦笑） 列に並び1時間。20:00にDOOR OPEN。 結局私たちが会場に入るのに所要時間20分。 まぁ、それはそれは長い列でした。 20:00にDOOR OPENなら、ワンオクのライブがスタートするのは、21:00ぐらいかな？と見込んでいたのは、私たちだけではなかった。 ある知人夫妻はゴールドコーストから電車でブリスベンへ。 （なんせ、片道一人５０セントですしねー） しかし、な、なんと、シドニー出身のバンド（Stand Atlantic)が前座としてパフォーマンスを開始したのが21:00。結局ワンオクのステージは22:00スタート。気の毒にその友人夫妻は、終電に乗るために、ワンオクのステージは30分しか観られなかったらしい。 もともとすごくファンという訳ではないけれど、Wherever You Areの名曲は知っていたので、BRISBANEでLIVEがあると知って、即チケットゲット。 予習のためにアルバム”DETOX”の収録曲を聴き、参戦！ これまでのライブは大きな会場で聴くことが多かったので、今回のようなライブホールは初めて。 観客の大半は日本人でしたが、その中にもオーストラリア人らしき人も。 最初はてっきりSTAND ATLANTICのファンなのかと思いきや、ライブ中の観客を見ていると、オージーがノリノリで歌を口ずさんでいました。 ワンオクの海外人気は本当でした！！ On Sunday, March 15, 2026, I finally went to see ONE OK ROCK live in Brisbane — a concert I had been looking forward to for over six months after buying the tickets. When I purchased the tickets, the doors were scheduled to open at 7:00 PM, but this was later changed to 8:00 PM. We decided to arrive early and checked out The Fortitude Music Hall around 6:00 PM. Even at that time, there was already a long line stretching from the entrance. About 10 meters from the door, I spotted a friend, who had been waiting since around 1:00 PM! This concert was standing-only, with a uniform ticket price except for the special tickets, which included priority entry and signed posters. It seemed that the early arrivals were all trying to secure spots close to the stage. Surprised by this, my husband and I decided to prioritize dinner first. We walked about five minutes from the venue to a Vietnamese restaurant (more like a casual eatery) and ate before heading to the end of the line around 6:30 PM. On the way, we ran into several acquaintances, each meeting starting with a cheerful “Long time no see!” and some catching up. By the time we reached the end of the line, it had wrapped around a whole block, almost reaching the venue entrance again! We waited in line for an hour, and doors opened at 8:00 PM. It took us about 20 minutes to actually get inside — quite a long line indeed. Many of us expected that with a door opening at 8:00 PM, the ONE OK ROCK show would start around 9:00 PM. We weren’t the only ones — a couple we knew had traveled by train from the Gold Coast to Brisbane (and it only cost 50 cents each way!). However, to our surprise, the Sydney band Stand Atlantic began their opening performance right at 9:00 PM, which meant that ONE OK ROCK didn’t take the stage until 10:00 PM. Unfortunately, that friend couple could only catch about 30 minutes of the main show before needing to catch the last train home. I’m not an extremely hardcore fan, but I knew the iconic song “Wherever You Are”, so when I heard there would be a live show in Brisbane, I grabbed tickets immediately. I even listened to the full album “DETOX” to prepare for the concert! Most of the live shows I had attended before were in large venues, so this smaller live hall experience was a first for me. Most of the audience was Japanese, but there were also some Australians. At first, I thought they were fans of Stand Atlantic, but watching the crowd during ONE OK ROCK’s performance, I realized the Aussies were fully singing along and enjoying every moment. ONE OK ROCK’s overseas popularity is real — I experienced it firsthand!

2026.5.1(Fri)-5.11(Mon) 2年ぶりにGold CoastのSnapper RocksでWSLのCT戦が行われています。 The WSL Championship Tour (CT) is back at Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast for the first time in two years. 雨がぱらつく天気ではあるものの、Swellは見応えのあるプロサーファーのライディンを見るには十分なサイズ！ Although the weather has been a bit drizzly, the swell has been more than enough to showcase world-class surfing at its best. 初日の5月1日（金）Mottiは午後から仕事だったので、試合会場のお隣り、 Rainbow Bay - Greenmountで1時間ちょっとサーフィンをしてから、CTのRound 1を見てきました！ On the opening day, Friday May 1, I had to work in the afternoon, so I managed to surf for just over an hour at the next beach over — Rainbow Bay / Greenmount — before heading to watch Round 1 of the CT. 去年は3月のサイクロン アルフレッドで砂が削られ、会場がBurleigh Headsに変更。 2年ぶりのSnapper Rocks Last year, due to Cyclone Alfred in March, the sand was heavily stripped and the event was moved to Burleigh Heads. That makes this year’s return to Snapper Rocks even more special — the first in two years. Little Marleyあたりのビーチに座り、おにぎりを食べながら、プロのサーフィンの試合を観戦。 We sat around the Little Marley area on the beach, eating onigiri while watching the world’s best surfers compete right in front of us. なんて贅沢なんでしょう。 What a privilege. ゴールドコーストに住んでいるなら、サーフィンをしない人でも、是非一度は観戦しに行ってほしい！と思い、急いでこの動画アップします★ If you live on the Gold Coast, even if you don’t surf, this is something you should experience at least once. 2025年12月31日 大晦日 December 31, 2025 (New Year’s Eve) 快晴のゴールドコースト A perfectly sunny day on the Gold Coast Burleighにサーフィン行ってきました。 朝6時半すでにビーチには海水浴を楽しむ人や、ウォーキングをする人たち、そしてコーヒーを手におしゃべりをする人た。 そんな中に、大晦日の花火のための席取りをする男性も。 ちょっとこれは日本みたい・・・。（笑） I went surfing in Burleigh. By 6:30 in the morning, the beach was already many people—some enjoying a swim, others out for a walk, and many chatting with a coffee in hand. Among them was even a man saving a spot for the New Year’s Eve fireworks. It felt a little bit like Japan… (haha) 大晦日というと大掃除だったり、お正月の準備だったりと忙しい日本とは違い、こちらゴールドコーストではある意味いつもの週末と変わりなく、自然と太陽を謳歌する人々。 Back in Japan, New Year’s Eve is usually a busy time with year-end cleaning and preparations for the New Year. But here on the Gold Coast, it feels, in a way, just like any other weekend, with people simply enjoying nature and the sunshine. うーん、やっぱりゴールドコーストは最高だぁ！と感じるのでした。 It really makes me think—once again—the Gold Coast is the best!

2026年1月24日（土） January 24, 2026 (Satur day) オーストラリア、ゴールドコーストに住んで、かれこれ20年以上になりますが、最近ゴールドコーストのことがどんどん好きになります。 I’ve been living on the Gold Coast in Australia for over 20 years now, and lately I’ve been falling more and more in love with it. なぜかって？ それは海、山、川に囲まれ、気候も温暖。 最高なんです！ Why, you ask? Because it’s surrounded by the ocean, mountains, and rivers, and the climate is warm and mild—it's simply amazing! 今回は、Mitchy、Gmotti、Mottiの3人は、前回は酷い目にあった（？）ウォーキングのリベンジでGorge Fallsに向かいました。 This time, the three of us—Mitchy, Gmotti, and Motti—headed to Gorge Falls for a “revenge” walk after the rough experience we had last time. 今回もアクシデントありの楽しいウォーキング。 ワーホリでゴールドコーストにいるあなた！も、 永住しているあなた！も なんなら観光のあなた！も！ 是非行って欲しい場所です。 Once again, it turned into a fun walk full of unexpected incidents. I went to see One OK Rock live. Doors opened at 8:00 pm. At 9:00 pm, the opening performance was by Stand Atlantic, a band from Sydney. They really got the crowd excited! **Stand Atlantic（スタンド・アトランティック）**は、オーストラリア・シドニー出身のポップパンクバンドです。2012年に結成され、ボーカルのボニー・フレイザーを中心に活動しています。 エモーショナルな歌詞とエネルギッシュなサウンドが特徴で、ポップパンクにオルタナティブ要素を融合させたスタイルで人気を集めているそうです。 Stand Atlantic is a pop-punk band from Sydney, Australia, formed in 2012. Led by vocalist Bonnie Fraser, the band is known for their energetic sound and emotional lyrics. Their music blends classic pop-punk with modern alternative influences, creating a unique and powerful style. 今回,LIVE StARTの前に知人に遭遇した際、「今日の前座のグループ、昨日のシドニー公演のときと同じバンドなら、すごくいいらしいよ』と話していましたが、まさに！会場ノリノリでした。 Before the show started, I ran into someone I knew, and they said, “If the opening band is the same as the one from the Sydney show yesterday, they’re supposed to be really good.” And they were absolutely right — the crowd was totally pumped!

It perfectly captures the peak of being head over heels in love. 7. Adore (9:58) 彼女の人生を180度変えた代表曲。一人きりの帰り道（Long drive home）を思わせる切ないメロディが会場を包みます。 The signature hit that completely transformed her life. The melancholic melody, evoking a long lonely drive home, captivated the entire audience. 8. I Said Hi (11;33) 自分を信じなかった人々への「勝利の宣言」。最後は夜空に上がる花火と共に、感動のフィナーレを迎えました。 A "victory lap" dedicated to everyone who ever doubted her. The night reached its moving finale as fireworks lit up the sky during this anthem.

Surfing Motti ゴールドコースト メインビーチサーフィン
2026年1月22日（木） 22/Jan/2026(Thu) 風邪もようやく治り、この日は平日だ！今日もHimeと一緒にサーフィンへ。 Motti's cold has finally cleared up, and it’s a weekday day off—so of course, heading out for a surf with Hime SurflineではThe Spitは1-3ft 黄緑。 家を出る前にカメラで見ると、数名のサーファー。波はよくないけれど、これから潮が上げてくれば、まとまってくるのでは？と期待をもって自宅を出発。 According to Surfline, The Spit was showing 1–3 ft (light-green). Before leaving home, we checked the live cam: only a few surfers out. The waves didn’t look great, but with the tide coming in, we hoped they might clean up a bit. With that small hope, we headed out. まずはThe Spitチェック。 「がっびーん！」なんだこの波は・・・。 残念すぎる。 First stop: The Spit check. …Boom. What on earth are these waves? Way too disappointing. Motti は、年末年始と楽しいサーフィンができておらず、さらには風邪をひいたり、仕事があったりで10日ぶりの海。Surflineの黄緑に期待を持ちすぎた・・・。 Motti hasn’t had a fun surf since the end of last year, and on top of that, she'd been sick and busy with work—this was her first time back in the ocean in 10 days. She’d put way too much hope into that Surfline light-green rating. フラストレーションはさらに積もる。 Frustration level rising. とりあえず、近場のメインビーチへ移動。 メインビーチはSurflineでは2-3fの黄緑 So we moved to Main Beach, close by. Surfline showed 2–3 ft (light-green) here. やっぱりMottiにはでかすぎる オープンビーチで白波が途切れるところはなく 絶対にアウトにでられないこと確定（笑） スープも白波一直線 病み上がりのMOTTIには試練以外の何物でもないこと確定（笑） Still… way too big for Motti. Open beach, no breaks in the whitewater, zero chance of getting out the back. Just endless straight-line soup. Definitely no challenge for someone just recovering from a cold! HIMEの「よしここで入るか！」の掛け声で、 車に支度に向かうが、気が重い・・・。 Then Hime said, “Alright, let’s get in here!” I headed back to the car to get ready, but honestly… my heart wasn’t in it. 今日は木曜日。ここで無理して体力使い、風邪が悪化するよりは・・・。 「HIME、今日私は入るのやめとくよ・・・」 It’s Thursday. If she pushes too hard and make her cold worse, that wouldn’t be smart. So Motit said, “Hime… I think I’ll sit this one out today.” HIMEのレスポンス「えーーーーーーーーー！」 予想以上に大きかった・・・（笑） Hime’s response: “WHAAAAAT?!” Way bigger reaction than expected でも今の自分のコンディションを伝えるとHIMEも納得。 ということで今日は木陰でWATCHING。 After Motti explained her condition, Hime understood. So today, Motti became the shade-watching cameraman. 入水時に、海からあがってきたおじさんに入水ポイントを教えてもらったHIME. Just before paddling out, a local surfer coming in kindly showed Hime the best entry point. 水に入るとリップカレントに見事にのって、あれよ、あれよと水をかぶることなくゲットアウト！ブラボー！HIME Once in the water, Hime caught a perfect rip current and got out effortlessly without taking a single wave on the head. Bravo, Hime! しかしアウトに出たあたりでは、北に流れがあるらしく、ポジションキープが難しそう Out the back, though, there seemed to be a strong northward sweep, making it hard to hold position. そんな中でHIME テイクオフ！ あいにくボトムで白波に潰されてしまったけど、頭サイズの波をきれいに捉えていました！ブラボー！ブラボー！ Even so—Hime takes off! Unfortunately, the wave closed out at the bottom turn, but Hime caught a clean head-high wave. Bravo! Bravo! そして・そして・・。 家に帰ろうと準備をしているHIMEが、「Motti、波が大分落ち着いてきたから入ったら？」と声をかけてくれた。 And then… just as Hime was getting ready to head home, she said: “Motti, the waves have really settled down. Why don’t you go in?” たしかに、潮が満ちてきて波も少し小さくなり、白波にも切間が・・・。 ワンチャン出れるかも？ She was right. The tide had filled in, the waves were smaller, and there were gaps in the whitewater. Maybe… just maybe… I could get out. ということでウェットを着て、入水。 先ほどまで１０人ぐらいいたサーファーたちもポツンポツン。 オープンウォーターで一人で入るのは怖いMottiだが HIMEがビーチで見守ってくれているという安心感で 思い切って入水 So she suited up and paddled out. The lineup that had earlier been packed with about 10 surfers was now scattered. Motti is honestly scared surfing alone in open water—but knowing Hime was watching from the beach gave her confidence. 一本目（動画なし）、するりと出られて、するりと乗れた First wave (no video): Slipped out smoothly, slipped into a wave smoothly. 二本目（動画あり）、ダックダイブができないので、乗ってしまえーとショートライド Second wave (on video): Motti can't duck dive, so I thought, “Just go!”—short ride. 三本目（動画あり）、これまたダックダイブができないので、これに乗るぞ！とパドルを頑張り、いざポップアップ。 おー、えー感じ。 板を操れている感覚あり！ Third wave (on video): Again, avoid duck dive, but she committed. Hard paddle, pop-up… Oh! This feels good. Motti actually feel like she is controlling the board! 入水時間30分。 満足したところで、やめておこっと。 Total water time: 30 minutes. Satisfied—and calling it a day. HIME曰く、「最後の、ボトムターンしたじゃーん」 Hime said, “You did a bottom turn on that last one!” 「やっぱり！？だよねーー！？」 Motti: “Right?! she thought so too!” その様子をHIMEがビデオに収めてくれていたので、観てみたら。。。 「しょぼ！」笑 When we watched the video later… “Meh…”（笑） でもでも、体の感覚としては、「ボトムターンしてそのあと何ならカットバック決めた」ライディング But in my body, it felt like: A bottom turn… and maybe even a cutback! 結果、年末からのフラストレーションは解消され、人生初のテクニカルサーフィンでした！（笑） In the end, all the frustration that had built up since the end of last year was finally gone. It was—without a doubt—my first ever ‘technical’ surf session (LOL）

2025年12月30日（火） 今年も残り2日 Tuesday, December 30, 2025 Only two days left in the year. 12月20日まで休みに入ったMOTTI、サーフィンの師匠でもあるご近所友達の姫と、ハウスメイトのKINGの恒例（？）日の出サーフィンに同行させてもらうことに。 MOTTI has been on holiday since December 20, and today she got to go along on the sunrise surf session with my neighbour and surfing mentor-PRINCESS, and MOTTI's housemate KING. 寝るの大好きMOTTIがサーフィンのために3時起きするなんて！奇跡 MOTTI, who absolutely loves sleeping, waking up at 3 a.m. just to go surfing?! A miracle. 4時過ぎ、BURLEIGH HEADS到着。 日の出サーフィンっていうか、まだ真っ暗じゃん！ なのに、暗闇の中でサーフィンしている輩が一人や二人じゃない！ We arrived at Burleigh Heads just after 4 a.m. Sunrise surfing? It was still pitch dark! And yet—there weren’t just one or two people, but several surfers already out there in the darkness. 「あの人たちアホかぁ！？」なんて心の中で思っていたら、 KINGは颯爽とWETを着て準備完了。 I was thinking to myself, “Are those people crazy or what?!” Meanwhile, KING had already slipped into his wetsuit and was fully ready to go. 入水の様子を密着してみた・・・。 （すぐに駐車場に戻るつもりでいたので、車の鍵をもってきてもーた） I decided to closely follow his entry into the water… (Thinking I’d head back to the car soon, I’d brought the car key with me—oops.) せっかくならば、KINGの勇姿を撮影しようとねばったけれど、 鍵がないと姫は動けない・・・ I wanted to stick around and capture KING’s brave moment, but without the key, PRINCESS couldn’t go anywhere. 車に戻ると、あれれ！姫もWET着て準備完了。 「待ってるから一緒に入ろう」と誘われるが・・・。 When MOTTI returned to the car "what?" PRINCESS was already in her wetsuit and completely ready. “I’ll wait for you—let’s go in together,” she said. 岩場からの入水は「むーりー！」 ということで、姫の密着取材開始。 But… Entering from the rocks? “No waaaay!” So instead, I started a close-up shooting video on PRINCESS. 見ている分には気持ちよさそうなサーフィン。 根性根性ど根性です！ 姫のガッツをご覧あれ。 Watching from the shore, the surfing looked amazing—so refreshing. 2025 ゴールドコースト SUPER CAR RACE 耳痒くなりました
2025年10月27日（日）ゴールドコーストに住んで早ん？x10年のMotti この度初めてゴールドコーストの街中で毎年この時期行われているカーレースを見に行ってきました。 正直何が走っているのか、どの車が先頭なのか、全くわからず・・・ではありましたが、いろいろなお店やブースがでていて、楽しかったです。 そして何よりの初体験。目の前を走り抜けるSUPER CARの爆音と風で耳が痒くなりました。 チケット代は日本でモータースポーツレースを観にいくことを考えたら、そこまで高くないのかもしれないけれど・・・。 今までチケット買ってまで観に来ようとは思わなかったレース。 今回は3日の通しチケットをもっている友達夫妻（←いつも太っ腹）が、日曜日は用事があって見に行けないので・・・・とチケットを譲っていただきました。 W&Mちゃんありがとう！ おかげてレースとレース会場1日満喫しました。
