Count the Cost
Following Jesus comes with a promise of opposition from the world. In John 15, Jesus warns his disciples that the world will hate them because they refuse to conform to its ways and because they reflect God's truth. This hatred isn't a possibility but a certainty for those who live distinctly as Christ followers. Jesus shared this difficult truth not to discourage but to prepare his disciples, showing kindness by being honest about the cost of discipleship. While the world may hate us, our response should be love and compassion, not hatred in return. True discipleship requires counting the cost and choosing full surrender over comfortable conformity.

Comprometidos a Dios en medio de los cambios
Los compromisos espirituales son fáciles de hacer en momentos emocionales, pero difíciles de sostener cuando las emociones se desvanecen. Pedro prometió nunca abandonar a Jesús, pero cuando llegó el momento difícil, no pudo cumplir su palabra. La diferencia entre un compromiso emocional y uno verdadero radica en la voluntad. True Success in Dry Places
Life brings seasons of spiritual dryness when we feel empty, exhausted, or disconnected from God. These challenging periods don't define failure but can become opportunities for true success when we understand God's perspective. True success means being found faithful to what God has called you to do, not measuring achievement by worldly standards.

A Special Message from Dr. John Piper
When Jesus heard that Lazarus was sick, He deliberately stayed away for two days, allowing His beloved friend to die. This wasn't cruelty but love—a love that prioritizes what we need most over what we want most. True love gives us what will ultimately satisfy: seeing and treasuring God's glory above health, safety, or even life itself. Jesus's love transforms our priorities so we can trust Him whether He gives or takes away, knowing His purposes are always good.
