🇯🇵 Japan Trip Vlog | Rediscovering Tokyo Through Food & Meaningful Encounters During this trip back to Japan, I stayed with friends and at an Airbnb while exploring Tokyo, as hotel prices have become quite expensive. I returned to Meguro, an area where I lived for 10 years, and visited some of my favorite places that I used to frequent. From charcoal-grilled skewers to authentic Sanuki udon, I enjoyed the flavors of Japan that I had truly missed. I’m also grateful for the wonderful people I met along the way and the kindness they shared with me. Living abroad has made me appreciate Japanese food culture, connections with people, and the beauty of each once-in-a-lifetime encounter even more. In the next episode, I’ll share the final moments of my Japan trip and what my health checkup revealed before returning to Houston. Japan Vlog 🇯🇵 My Final Days in Japan | Hashimoto's Changed My Perspective｜40代、甲状腺機能低下症と診断された一時帰国
In the final episode of my Japan trip vlog, I spent precious time with dear friends, enjoyed amazing Japanese food, and returned to the beauty industry for a short while. During a routine checkup, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease and hypothyroidism. Looking back, many of the symptoms I had been experiencing—fatigue, swelling, dry skin, hair loss, poor sleep, and a slower metabolism—were not "just getting older." This journey reminded me how important it is to slow down and listen to our bodies, especially in our 40s. Thank you so much for watching.
